This jacket is a 100% recycled garment

Created from a vintage, sun bleached Levi’s denim jacket, this piece is a true honoring of sustainable fashion. The ancient art of sashiko originates in Japan where worn out clothing was repaired and strengthened with tiny stitches almost re weaving the worn threads.

In this piece i have used remnants of Vintage Sanderson voile and hand embroidered patches of foraging birds to create a decorate back panel which is hand stitched to the original denim creating strength in the pairing, restoring the denim and preserving the embroideries for years if not lifetimes to come.

The sashiko stitch continues throughout this piece with particular care taken in reconstructing the collar and holes throughout the original garment

Complete with a detachable blush mongolian collar

The overall garment has taken our expert team 36 hours of restoration and hand finishing.
